Each BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members.
The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time. It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration.
It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening.
Learn More About BSidesBSidesAugusta is part of the Security B-sides (BSides) phenomenon, a worldwide community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members.
BSidesAugusta holds an annual conference in the Fall with the goals of:
BSidesAugusta began in 2013 when Mark Baggett led a dedicated team of seven organizers to put on the first event of its type in the area. The event was a huge success, with about 175 attendees and two talk tracks of great speakers. It continued to grow, and in 2016 and 2017, BSidesAugusta hosted four talk tracks and 750 attendees from around the US and the globe.
Today, the same group of organizers, with tireless help from many other volunteers, continue to bring BSidesAugusta to the community. We do it because we love this work, we enjoy providing the stage for others who love it and, most of all, because we enjoy the community of great people in this industry. You make this conference great.
